Well 2020 is shaping up to be the worst year on record. If #COVID19 wasn’t enough #INTAC insurance has sent me a “Notice to Insured of Non=Renewal” !
Nice, #WTF… I have been with them for as long as I can remember… years, and I have been driving this Meyers Manx Dune Buggy for 46 years. First, INTAC wants an appraisal and current evaluation, before they renewal date. This is the second appraisal I provided, an update sounds like a good idea. From the evaluation package they see it is a Dune Buggy and drop me for “Rule #15 = custom kit cars, replica, Dune buggies, hot rods”
Okay, so my broker looks at other alternatives, well, there are no other alternatives, so far. Turns out dune buggies are black listed or the Insurance companies have a hate on, for this fun car. Hagerty Classic Insurance covers a wide range of classic to race cars, but, Dune Buggies… nope!
So I’m currently on the hunt for an insurance company that will cover my authenticated Meyers Manx Dune Buggy. If anyone has a lead on an insurance company, in Canada 🇨🇦 Ontario, please drop me a line, so we can continue to enjoy our #BadManxBuggy
